Teachers 4.0 Digital Age eLearning Platform: A pilot testing away from the official launch

The Teachers 4.0 Digital Age project, in accordance with the classroom reality of the modern society, aspires to equip the teachers with the adequate skills to bring to the lesson. In an era where classrooms are increasingly shaped by screens, devices, and digital content, educators must be vigilant and educative to their students. The eLearning platform we created to help teachers achieve that in a self-paced online environment will enhance their skills in digital media literacy, disinformation awareness, and critical thinking.

This joint European effort offers a 60-hour online course, divided into 10 modules, based on the Curriculum that was created and delivered as a University Course in 9 European universities and institutions. The online course offers an interactive and blended digital learning experience that is ambitious for honing their skills that can be used to adopt new teaching techniques in the new, digital era.

  • 11 introductory videos
  • Interactive Assessments and Quizzes
  • References

Why this matters: The bigger picture

Our online course holds on to the promise of open-source, freely accessible learning material even after the project’s lifespan. Our activities might be done by November 2026, but our legacy not. By continuing beyond the life of the project, the Teachers 4.0 Digital Age eLearning platform can serve as a living hub for teacher professional development, evolving alongside the rapidly changing digital landscape. We will not gatekeep and we will ensure that Europe’s classrooms continue being a place where disinformation is not tolerated, digital skills are developed, and, in the long run, students become a part of more resilient democratic societies.

Phase 1: The pilot testing

Creating a dynamic, multilingual, and interactive, digital learning experience can be challenging, but we want the outcome to be captivating. This is what the platform has entered its piloting phase, where 120 teachers from all participating countries will enroll in the course, shaping the path to the platform’s official launch. We will let the in-service teachers decide whether this has been actually a beneficial experience for them, asking them questions about:

  • Usefulness
  • Information Quality
  • Interface Quality
  • Accessibility
  • Engagement
  • Multilingual Accuracy

Want to be a part of the magic?

If you are an in-service teacher in one of the participating countries of the project (Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Greece, Cyprus, Italy) and you want to be a part of the piloting phase of the eLearning platform, do not hesitate to come in contact with us. All you have to do is to express your interest through this contact form, and we will get back to you as soon as possible with the instructions. We would love to hear your feedback and co-create the final product!

Next stop? The beta version

Put simply, all the feedback for the pilot testers will be put into practice to develop the final product. Our developers will make sure that they will implement all the necessary adjustments to make the platform as user-friendly, offline-accessible, locally adapted, and interactive as possible. The result will be the platform’s beta version, a teacher tested/teacher approved space that will be ready to scale up to thousands of users.

One step at a time…

Looking forward, the Teachers 4.0 Digital Age Project will focus on delivering the online course to a much broader audience. We want to ignite the engagement of as many in-service teachers as possible and to accomplish that we will organise numerous online seminars across all the partner countries. Through this process, teachers will not only learn but also exchange practices, creating a cross-border community of digitally empowered educators.

The pilot testing of the Teachers4.0 Digital Age eLearning Platform represents more than a quality assurance step. It is a collaborative co-design process, ensuring that the platform is practical, engaging, and ready for large-scale adoption. Follow our journey to stay updated on the latest developments and be the first to experience the official launch of the Teachers 4.0 Digital Age eLearning Platform.
